The Inaugural Irish Bridge Masters in Galway August 3-4
Every once in a while a new event hits the bridge scene that seems certain to be the start of something special and is instantly a ‘can’t miss’ stop on the circuit.
This summer the eyes of the bridge world will be on Galway for the inaugural Irish Bridge Masters, which is set for August 3-4.
Players can expect the standard of bridge to be matched by the atmosphere and entertainment as the festival takes place during Race week in Galway, an amazing occasion in its own right, bringing punters and spectators from across Europe to the picturesque Irish town.
This unique bridge event boasts an astonishing guaranteed prize pool of €10,000 with the winner guaranteed a €5,000 payday. The event has been sanctioned by the CBAI which means there are Masters Points up for grabs too.
“The craic will be unbeatable”
Some of the best players in the world just can’t wait for the event. Irish Bridge Masters Spokesperson Tom Hanlon says, “Galway is the best place in the world to be during Race week, the Craic is unbeatable. I intend to be ‘last man standing’ both in the tournament and at the players’ party!”
