The 2014 SportAccord World Mind Games

are being held in Beijing, China from 11th – 18th December 2014

Teams Event: Israel defeated the US in the final and is the owner of the Open Gold and England defeated The Netherlands winning the ladies Gold.

Israel recorded a comfortable victory over the USA in the Open Teams but the excitement was all with the women’s event, when in a dramatic final session the Netherlands gradually reduced England’s significant lead, eventually overtaking them on the penultimate board only to see their victory vanish on the very last one, losing by just 3 IMPs. The bronze medals went to Monaco (Open) and USA (Women).
