Franck Riehm elected as WBF President

The World Bridge Federation is pleased to announce the election of its new President: Franck Riehm from France.

Franck was elected to the WBF Executive Board in August 2022 during the World Bridge Series in Wroclaw. He has played a significant role in bridge administration at the national level, having served as 1st Vice President of the French Bridge Federation in 2018 and later becoming its President in 2020.

In addition to his work in bridge, Franck has successfully created and managed a commercial catering and fast food company for over 30 years. His business experience, combined with his commitment to bridge, brings a valuable perspective to the role.

He is particularly passionate about the development of bridge and the growth of the player base – key challenges for the coming years.

In accordance with the WBF Statutes, his presidency will run until 31 December 2026, completing the remainder of the late Jan Kamras’s mandate.

The World Bridge Federation congratulates President Riehm and looks forward to his leadership in guiding the global bridge community into the future.
