Fred Gitelman previously announced he will leave the DIAMOND team after the current cycle. It looks like his departure will occur two tournaments sooner than expected. Gitelman and partner Brad Moss will join the defending Vanderbilt champion AMOILS team, but will NOT play together. Instead Gitelman will partner Les Amoils and Moss will play with his next-cycle partner Joe Grue. Peter Bertheau and Thomas Bessis will be the team’s third pair.

The DIAMOND team, who lost to AMOILS in the finals last year, will play 4-handed in the 2013 Vanderbilt (Geoff Hampson, Eric Greco, John Diamond, and Brian Platnick).

The DIAMOND team is also currently planning to play 4-handed in the U.S. International Team Trials (May 31-June 10) without Moss and Gitelman.

Moss and Gitelman will play together in the U.S. International Team Trials and will team up with Grue and Curtis Cheek along with Warren Spector and Michael Becker.
