DAVID GOLD (member of the England Open team) is an International bridge playing food lover, he has a blog:

and this is how he presents himself:

Hi, I’m David Gold. I’m a professional bridge player and one of the leading players in the UK. I was born in Scotland in 1979 but grew up mostly in Berkshire, England. Currently I spend most of my spare time in Ljubljana, Slovenia with my lovely girlfriend Maruša.

My interest in food and cooking stems from my father who always gave me weird and interesting things to eat from a very early age. I love to cook and will try anything.

Due to my career as a bridge player I get to travel the World and combine my love of food and bridge.

This is David’s Blog last post:

Congratulations to Poland – winners of the Bermuda Bowl! They played great bridge all tournament and despite a huge comeback by Sweden in the penultimate set, Poland played a great final set to win the World Championships. Well done to Sweden who came so close.

Also Congratulations to France, winners of the Venice Cup and USA1, winner of the D’orsi Seniors Bowl.

I am tired, hurting and ready to go home but I fly straight to Bulgaria for some bridge with my friends there, hosted by Tony Rusev. I will partner Jonathan Harris and team up with Stefan Scorchev and Steve Root. I had a lovely time last year and very much looking forward to it.

A small crumb to cheer some of us up is that Myself, Jason and Justin Hackett have been promoted to World Life Masters.

We will keep working and win a worldchampionship someday…
