and this is how he presents himself:

Hi, I’m David Gold. I’m a professional bridge player and one of the leading players in the UK. I was born in Scotland in 1979 but grew up mostly in Berkshire, England. Currently I spend most of my spare time in Ljubljana, Slovenia with my lovely girlfriend Maruša.

My interest in food and cooking stems from my father who always gave me weird and interesting things to eat from a very early age. I love to cook and will try anything.

Due to my career as a bridge player I get to travel the World and combine my love of food and bridge.

This is a hand from David’s blog…

Today’s board is a Zia masterpiece, from match 20 (board 21).

In our match against Poland it went a bit differently since North at both tables opened a club. Robson just simply jumped to 6 after a 2 overcall from Forrester and the Poles stopped in 4.
