Yesterday the Champions’ Cup 2012, which was held in Eilat, ended. After four days of play, these are the final results:

Saturday the Semifinals Monaco FM – G.S. Allegra and Angelini Bridge Team – Bridge Club Real were played
Our match ended 144-93 for Allegra team, who played an excellent bridge with a little of luck on their side (which is always important!!)

In the meanwhile, Bridge Club Real lost versus Angelini team, so on Sunday we played two rounds versus them in order to assign the third place.

Italian final, then. Allegra team dominated in the three segments versus their roman colleagues, and could nearly lap them, ending the match 159-81.

Now I wish to tell you a board from the first segment of the Final. It is a very didactic hand and I suggest everyone, and especially to the medium level players, to try to understand the logic.
I was not playing, but I was kibitzing the match.
