The Slava Cup in honor of the disappeared Russian bridge player, Slava Grinuk, has become one of the most prestigious events in Russia.

Team tournament: TOP 8
The team tournament consists of two stages. On the first stage the teams play a complete round-robin. The result of each match is calculated in IMPs and then converted into VP in accordance with the official scale of World Bridge Federation. The two first teams in the round-robin will play the final. The 3rd and 4th will play a match for the third place.

3er Day: Sunday, February 23

This is how Mark Horton described the last day of the 2014 Slava Cup: After trailing for the first three sessions of the final The Netherlands found a different gear and in the last set restricted Auken to just two IMPS whilst scoring fortyeight of their own to secure a convincing victory. It was another golden moment for Th e Netherlands following
the record-breaking success of their speed skaters in the Sochi Winter Olympics. Their victory prevented Roy Welland from acheiving a notable double as he won the Top16 Event with Zia Mahmood in 2010. It was Monaco who secured third place by winning a closely contested match against fourth-placed Real, while Israel won the round robin contest to determine fifth place.  Dmitry Prokhorov and Karlis Rubins won the Top36 Pairs Event by thirteen VPs from Alexey Bogach & Igor Churlin who were twelve VPs ahead of Alexey Bogach & Igor Churlin.
