Bridge Road Warriors Spring NABC Edition #4

16 MAR 2016 RENO North American Bridge Championships CSBnews.org USA Correspondent GS Jade Barrett

The first five days of North American Championship is absolutely packed with activity for all the officials and volunteers of the American Contract Bridge League. Needless to say, some of these meetings work better than others, but by and large, there is a lot accomplished with regards to the greater world of bridge.

The meetings are also opportunities to catch up with our friends from literally all over the world. I have seen people from at least 30 different countries and all 50 states. Over the last 20 years, these NABCs have grown significantly more International. It is a true joy to see the world celebrate the game.

It was a great honor to spend time with Gianarrigo Rona, President of the World Bridge Federation.

I truly appreciate his tireless dedication to the players of the bridge community, particularly during this period of unease that came as a result of so much scandal. We are lucky to have him at the helm.

Back to the bridge tables for more mental combat!

Maybe today will be the best day, yet.
