After thinking your answer. Below you can find some of the best players from Italy and two players from France answers:
These are the experts answers:
2, if it is Forcing if not 3.
2 for us is forcing, but I like very much 3 strong… This is what I like…although my son Thomas is used to double without points and majors!!!
2. I dont know in Italy but for us in France is forcing, 2 is autoforcing, partner cant pass over 2 or 2 after his partner’s double. If you dont play this agreement, I would say 3, this tends to deny 4 cards majors. So I say 2, waiting my partner answer to it.
V. Giubilo | 2. I think that 2 doesn’t deny 5 clubs, but 3 denies 4 card majors.
3. For me, 2 promises something different. A possible 3, afterwards, will show strength, if not I would have bid 2. If someone plays 3 NF…he will be obliged to say 3 to force to game, making the description more laborious.
3. I know, showing a good hand with majors, with some risk I prefer to force immediately, presumably the bidding will continue (3 over my partner’s 3…). For me, 2 should promise a next bid – although it could be made with a hand with de 8-9 honor points with a nice distribution – but to only say 2 with this beauty with out a special agreement …
3. Initially I thought 3, but I choose to say 3, it is also forcing to game (I have a strong hand, if not I woyuld have say 2 instead of double) Over my partners answer I mention my spades. |
