Learning with Fantoni: II WMSG Monaco vs Japan

Source: http://www.fulviofantoni.com

Let’s see the match versus Japan. I had indicated this team as one of the favoured and in fact they really gave us some troubles. A slam, which honestly was not a very good one, wasn’t bid by our team mates. At our table, our opponents made it. 12 tricks are indeed makeable, but only if the player at the lead does not have the King of Hearts, because on the other case you always go down on a Heart lead.
These players are very careful, precise and regoular. In this match unfortunately I did a mistake, so giving the opponents the opportunity to accomplish and unmakeable game.
I will now show you the board, because that is one of the most interesting of the day and it is also instructive for the players who wish to improve their understanding with their partner. Click Here to continue reading
