With the final stage of the Coppa Italia and the IMPs Pairs Championship, that are going to be played this weekend in Salsomaggiore Terme, Italy, finishes the italian intense 2014 bridge calendar.
Coppa Italia Final
The last act of the Coppa Italia, will start officially this Thursday. In all its three series, Open, Ladies and “di category” (reserved for members of the second, third category and NC), the sixteen finalists will compete in direct elimination matches, starting with quaterfinals. For each phase, a match will be transmitted live via Bridge Base Online. It will not be just a show for friends and family; the truth is that many eyes around the world will focus on our national championship, which includes many of the best players in Italy and other countries, many of them world champions.
In the Open series, the actual champion is Angelini team= Francesco Angelini, Ercole Bove, Leonardo Cima, Valerio Giubilo, Lorenzo Lauria, Federico Primavera and Alfredo Versace.
The actual champion in the Ladies series online casino is Fanfulla Bridge =Annarita Azzimonti, Angela Dossena, Enrica Francescangeli, Angela Mainardi, Angelica Mariani, Antonella Soresini and Luisa Venini.
And the actual Champion in the second, third category and NC is Bridge Eur S.S.D. A.R.L., Luigi Cavazza, Gaetano De Simone, Gaetano Del Castillo, Giuseppe Opilio, Emanuele Tanzi and Luigi Virtuoso.
IMP Pairs Championship
The opportunity to play a pairs championship with an alternative to a Mitchell score was a very good news for many players; both championships offering this opportunity are Societario Pairs, introduced this year, and IMPs Pairs. Until today have signed more than a hundred pairs, and the play beguins on Friday, but the number should not be considered definitive, as tickets are also open to players who are eliminated from the Italian Cup.
