Mantova 6/7 September
A festival, a book, a laboratory
As part of the “Festivaletteratura” of Mantua, an important event of national character in progress September 5 to 9, will be presented through two meetings, the work of Louis Sachar, one of the greatest American writers for children.
Particular attention will be devoted to “Il voltacarte – storia di un re, di una regina e di un jolly,” the last novel of the author, where the bridge permeates every page of the narration. The novel goal, not hidden by its author who actively practice bridge is to stimulate and encourage the new generations to play bridge, using its knowledge to enhance the bridge charm and the exciting world of competition.
For the occasion, the AsD «Mincio Bridge Mantova» and its president Paolo Paccini have promoted and organized on 6 and 7 September (starting at 11), two workshops dedicated to kids called ‘A Taste of bridge … “certainly an effective way to communicate and direct young people to learn the dynamics of the game. Curator of the workshops is the instructor Giovanni Rebecchi who made use of the assistance and cooperation of the Technical Education Sector of the FIGB (Federazione Italiana Gioco Bridge).
