2012 Italian Mixed Teams Cup

September Thursday 20 to Sunday 23, was held at the Crown Plaza Hotel Caserta the final of the Italian Cup Mixed Teams, this event was played by 28 teams from local selections and 4 places were obtained in the 2011 edition. These 4 places are:
      Circolo di Bologna – Fornaciari (oro), il Nuovo Bridge Insieme – Scriattoli (argento), Padova Bridge – Arslan (bronzo) e l’ Associazione Bridge Torino – Audi (winner of the playoff).

      The event provided a direct elimination to take place over  36 boards to sixteenths, eighths and quarter-finals, semi-finals: 48 boards and 60 for the final.    

The Venetian led by Mario Matteucci (Donatella Aillaud, Luke and Fiorenza Bellussi Bernardo Blonde and Francesca Di Lembo) won the event. With five wins in a row over 216 hands in four days of play, only Padua unscathed the guillotine direct elimination, in the first session, disappeared two of the best seeds: Fornaciari and Miozzi. In second place arrived  Genova: Marina Causa (Matteo Baldi, Rita Federico, Francesco Murgia, Francesco Nicolodi, Francesca Piscitelli and Stefano Sabbatini). With four wins by KO, the Ligurian team lost only at the end of the 60 boards final (161 to 145). The final was a hard fought and well balanced, with frequent changes in the team leader.
      In the match for the third place, the Nuovo Bridge Insieme of Rome (Scriattoli Francesco, Antonella Caggese, Max and Barbara Given, Riccardo Iacono, Ilaria Saccavini, Daniela Salvemini and Fabio Zampini) beat the Tennis Club Genova 1893 (Roberto Polledro, Anna Bozzo , Constance Ovens, Enrico Guglielmi, Giorgio Rivara and Antonella Soresini) by 83 to 65 over a nbso online casino reviews 36 boards.
