Schwartz rallies for Reisinger victory

Richard Schwartz came from four boards back to win the Reisinger Board-a-Match Teams by more than three boards. The winners, at left: Allan Graves, Richard Schwartz, Ron Schwartz, Lotan Fisher, Espen Lindqvist and Boye Brogeland. The runners-up: Steve Weinstein, Jeff Meckstroth, Eric Rodwell, Bobby Levin, coach Eric Kokish and Ralph Katz. Team captain Nick Nickell was not available for the photo.

Lynch wins North American Swiss

The Carolyn Lynch team ran away with the Keohane North American Swiss Teams. The winners, at left: Adam Zmudzinski, Mike Passell, Lynch, Cezary Balicki and  Garey Hayden. The runnersup: Marcin Lesiewski, Jacek Jerzy Kalita, Josef Blass, Piotr Tuczynski, Bartosz Chmurski and Michal Nowosadzki.

Meckstroth wins 10K Swiss

Sally Meckstroth’s squad won the four-session 0-10,000 Swiss Teams after starting the day in 27th place. At left are the winners: Danny Molenaar, Bob Drijver, captain Sally Meckstroth, Nira Talova and Rene De Waele. In second was the team led by Steve Kornegay. Right: Nancy Passell, captain Steve Kornegay, Nancy Kornegay and Joan Jackson.

Levin is Player of the Year

Unofficial results show that Robert Levin of Henderson NV won the most platinum points in 2014 to capture the Player of the Year award. Levin scored 846.01 platinum at the three NABCs. A full report will appear in the February issue of the Bridge Bulletin.

Brogeland, Lindqvist tie for Goren Trophy

Norwegians Boye Brogeland and Espen Lindqvist tied for the most number of masterpoints earned at the Fall NABC to share the Goren Trophy. Partners throughout the tournament, they each earned 363.89 points, 200 of which came from their win in the Reisinger BAM Teams. Tied for third-fourth were their teammates Lotan Fisher and Ron Schwartz of Israel. Top masterpoint leaders in Providence:
