Buenos Aires 2015: Southamerican Pairs Championship

On May 9, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the halls of Hotel Sheraton Libertador was the kick off the LXV Campeonatos Sudamericanos de Bridge. At 16 pm begun the first qualifying session of the South American Pairs Championships, with 110 pairs participating in the event.

Among the pairs is playing the City Mayor, with the rank of governor of Buenos Aires, Mr. Mauricio Macri who was feted by the President of the Asociación del Bridge Argentino Mrs Silvia Boldt, with a medal, a commemorative plaque and his appointment as honorary member of the institution. Mr. Macri is participating in the pairs event playing with the World Champion Mr. Agustin Madala.

At the end of the first qualifying session, in the first place arrived a partnership from Venezuela: RONDON HanoiROSEN Eduardo. In the second position BENADERETTE Rafael – SIANO Gerardo from Argentina and in the third position: the CSB Presidente CARACCI Marcelo with his regular partner ROBLES Jose from Chile.

After the game all participants enjoyed a cocktail and the Opening Ceremony of the LXV Campeonatos Sudamericanos de Bridge. This year the President of the WBF, Gianarrigo Rona had special words for all the audience and wished them a very successful championships. The President of CBS, Mr. Marcelo Caracci was responsible for opening the event with an allusive words and like every year the ceremony included the presentation of the delegations of the countries of the region.
