Bridge was on the front page of the London “Daily Telegraph”.
The following appeared under the headline Culbertson System:
President Eisenhower yesterday received some advice on peace and disarmament from Mr. Ely Culbertoson, the bridge expert, who is also the leader of a citizen committe for the reform of the United Nations.
Mr. Culbertson said that he and Mr Eisenhower “a corking good player” also talked Bridge.
