The quarter-finals are ended.

4 of the favorite teams arrived to the semifinals. Poland defeated The Netherlands, but the two teams are both definitely the powers of the bridge. At the end Poland qualified: which has shown to be in great shape and had been much better than the defending champions.

Italy easily won against China, while both USA1 and Monaco have suffered a little more, but in the end they both passed with fifty IMP advantage over their opponents.

The Semifinals turn out to be: USA1 against Monaco and Italy against Poland. This is because USA1, having arrived first in the Round Robin tournament, had the right to choose either who to play against in the quarterfinals, and which is his semifinal opponent in the eventual semi-final.

To make a prediction at this point is very difficult and will depend on the team that will be able to play a better bridge and will have a bit more luck. The matchs are wide open.

We will play 96 boards, 48 boards per day divided into three rounds of competition.

The team that has won the direct encounter during the Round Robin will benefit from Carry Over.

May the best win and see you soon for some updates 🙂
