Medellin 2016: Pairs Championship 1st Final Sesion

This year 153 pairs  are participating in the South Amjerican Pairs Championship, in the beautiful Medellin city, Colombia. On Friday 27 May at night the partnerships sat down to play the first qualifying session. They played two more qualifying sessions next saturday, which decided the 26 pairs who went to the finals in the Open, the 26 pairs classified in the Ladies and the 14 pairs who qualified in the Mixed category.

The qualifying stage in the Open category was won by the Spanish partnership, father and son, F. and G. Goded, with an accumulate of 69.59%. In the a pair from Brazil; David – De Mello took the first place with 66.47% and in the Mixed Category in the first place was a Italy-Venezuela pair: Hamahoui – Sultan.

Final Standings after the 3 sessions:  TOTALOPEN – LADIES – MIXED

On May 29 in the morning the first of the two sessions of the final was played. At the end of the first 16 boards, these were the positions in each category:
