For the fifteenth time bridge stars from across Russia and the rest of the world gathered together in Moscow to pay homage to the memory of the talented Slava Grinyuk, who died an untimely death in his thirties. As usual, Organizing Committee Chairman Pavel Portnoy secured the participation of many World and European Champions, who competed in both the Top 8 and Top 38 contests. In the team tournament, a complete round robin saw four teams qualify for the semifinals. At the same time, in the Top 38 Pair tournament (featuring both invited pairs and those who have qualified to compete) battled for the title over 15 rounds.

The Auken team beat in the final the Sweden Junior team. To finally keep the team Slava Cup 2016.
