Lebhar IMP Pairs Roger Bates and Dennis Kasle, 7.05 IMPs off the pace with a session to go in the Lebhar IMP Pairs, took advantage of a slip by the leading pair to win the event by .54 IMPs over the pair who posted the best game of the session.

Last year’s Platinum Pairs runners-up lead the 28-pair field as the six-session event enters the final day. With a carryover of 26.51 points, Cedric Lorenzini and Thomas Bessis from Paris, France, lead Jie Li and Fu Zhong from Bejiing, China, by a negligible .46 matchpoints. In third are Roger Lee, Las Vegas and Steve Weinstein, Andes NY with 19.04 points.

Silver Ribbon Pairs starts Today

The Leventritt Silver Ribbon Pairs gets underway today. Paid-up ACBL members born before January 1, 1959 who have a Silver, Red or Blue Ribbon qualification are eligible to play. The Silver Ribbon Pairs consists of two qualifying and two final sessions. The winners will have their names inscribed on the Leventritt Trophy and will receive a certificate of recognition.
