1st European Online Championships 2012

The first EUSA and EBL online championships on BBO will start on October 1st, 2012.

It will be a competition between universities (not countries). The university teams may be composed of university students from different European universities, but should as a team represent one European university.

Teams can be entered from now on via e-mail to kubakasprzak@o2.pl with geert.magerman@telenet.be in copy with the following information for each student:

  • Name of the university you will represent
  • and for each student in the team: the name, the date of birth, the nationality and the university at which he/she studies
  • the captain of the team

Participants may be university students attending a European University or students in the year before commencing their studies or up to one year after completing their studies.

Initially teams will play in different groups, and then go to a knock-out stage with quarter finals, semi finals and final. Both captains will have 1 month to schedule on BBO a match of the group round or the knock-out phase. The finals will be played under the local control of a director.

Following the great success of the 3rd FISU & WBF online championships with 61 teams, we urge you to help us publicise this event which we are sure will be enjoyed by all participants.

More information is available at www.unibridge.eu and at facebook “Uni bridge“. All the results will be published on these websites.

Prizes will be announced at the end of the event.
