Kranyak Team wins USBC

Congratulations to the Kranyak team, who crushed the Diamond, Nickell & Fleisher teams on the way to winning the 2013 United States Bridge Championship. The Kranyak team will be USA1 for the Bermuda Bowl in Bali in September. Kranyak played the USBC four-handed. They will add a pair for the Bermuda Bowl. Whoever they add, they will be a wonderful representative of the USBF in Bali this fall.

The Diamond team, trailing 154-76 after four of the scheduled 6 matches in the USA2 Semi-Final, conceded to the Nickell team. The two teams in the USA2 Finals agreed to start the match earlier than it was scheduled so that all of them could have an early dinner on Sunday. The match will start at 2:00. The teams will play two 15 board segments Sunday and four 15 board segments Monday (starting at 10:00). The winner will be USA2 for the Bermuda Bowl in Bali.
