Marketing Director on Board at the ACBL

Alexandra “Alex” Turner, a Memphian who has worked in marketing and public relations for 17 years, has joined the staff of the ACBL as director of marketing and communications.

“We are delighted to have a person of Alex’s talent and experience in this key role as the ACBL moves forward,” said Robert Hartman, the company’s chief executive. “We expect our new marketing director to take a major role in the strategic plan to boost membership and promote the game of bridge.”

Turner said that, during interviews for the job, she was impressed by the dedication of the ACBL staff and their love for the card game played by millions around the world.

“I’m excited about the challenge of helping more people find out how great bridge can be as a leisure-time activity and as a competitive endeavor,” she said. “The ACBL has made great strides in attracting more young people to the game. Adding to that effort will be one of my priorities.”
