International Open Side Event

This year everybody can join the stars. In 2015 the Danish Bridge Federation introduces the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Imp Pairs, an open 3-day event played simultaneously with the Copenhagen Bridge Invitational from the 16th-18th of January with a 1st price of 10.000 DKK. Players in all shapes and nationalities are invited to play next to the stars and be a part of all the glamour and excitement surrounding the CBI III.

Spend an Evening with the Stars

For those who fantasize of playing with a Swedish world champion against Poker Star Gus Hansen with His Royal Highness Prince Consort of Denmark sitting at the next table playing with Thomas Bessis, here is the chance to see that dream come true.

Prior to the CBI the traditional pro/am takes place on Thursday the 15th of January, where all players of the main event will be available as partners sold by an online auction. Participation includes drinks & buffet introducing the event and drinks & canapées closing the event in the company of bridge stars and celebrities.

To describe the pro/am we leave it to English star David Gold’s words after the event in 2013:

“I shook hands with a Prince, I played bridge against Gus Hansen. I doubled him in three hearts, and they only made nine tricks although they were cold for ten. I had an incredible evening. I have never been to an event like this before.”

Regardless if you dream of participating in the pro/am, playing the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Imp Pairs or simply to sit behind your favourite bridge player through three exciting days in one of the hottest cities in Europe, you can stay at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia at the highly discounted rate of 695,- DKK (less than 100 euro/night including breakfast) during the days of tournament. The discount can only be obtained through a special booking link on the home page before December 18th 2014.
