2013 Juan Les Pins Bridge Festival

 The 64th Bridge Festival Antibes-Juan-les-Pins was held from 3 to 16 May 2013.

May 17:

The Monaco Team won the Juan les Pins 2013  Teams Patton:

Pierre Zimmermann, Fulvio Fantoni, Claudio Nunes, Geir Helgemo, Tor Helness.

May 14:

After the first two sessions of the Juan les Pins Patton, the Monaco team is in the Poll Position. In this occasion Monaco is represented by: Pierre Zimmermann & Franck Multon, Geir Helgemo & Tor Helness, Claudio Nunes & Fulvio Fantoni.

PP: my victory with Christian Desrousseaux, we played together for the first time, we won with 20% advance by making sessions between 64 and 67%!

Young players in Juan les Pins: Joris van Lankveld

Junior World Champion playing for Holland, Joris van Lankveld, 24, is participating for the first time in “Juan” with his national teammate Berend van den Bos. Joris began playing at age 7, following a Dutch program to teach bridge to children, called Stepbridge. Today he is a bridge professional. In just a few weeks he will be participating in the European Teams Championship … meanwhile he is enjoying the beaches of the French Riviera.

 May 9

 Just begun the Open pairs Tournament, a 4 session event. The first session winners were Chottin Philippe y Pierre Schmidt. Second arrived: Reiplinger Robert y QuantinJean C.

Babies bridge players: The little girl was playing associated with his father, the boy with his grandmother. They learned bridge with their family and just join a club in the Eindhoven region in the Netherlands.

May 6th:

The triathlon started…and at the end of the first session, a very young couple from Rome is leading the event: Margherita Chavarria (20 years) and Alessandro Gandoglia (22 years).

Like every year the festival started with a 6 sessions, Mixed Pairs Tournament. The winners were:

This year this traditional festival will inaugurate a three sessions triathlon to be played during the 6-7  and 8 of May, where each pair (always the same players) will participate in three types of competence: The First Day a Pairs Tournament , the second day an IMPs Pairs tournament and finally a Board a Match event.
