Well, this was a bad start. We lost by 30 to ARGENTINA, a combination of some poor judgement and a smattering of bad luck. We lost by 1 to ITALY in a well-played match, and then lost by 27 to USA-1 in a match with only 2 big swings, both against us. So we are in next-to-last place, but at least we have played our toughest day. Be good to get something going tomorrow. We play CHINA (7), BRAZIL (10) and then POLAND (9), all teams doing well so far (I have listed their current place in parentheses), but only POLAND being a pre-tournament favorite.
