When her family was young, Sue McCoskery of Billings MT often entertained friends with bridge foursomes while the children played in the same room.

McCoskery’s husband didn’t share her enthusiasm for bridge, so she didn’t talk about it much.

She recalled, however, that the secret came out when her husband asked their 3-year-old how many toy cars and trucks he had.

Very proudly, young Doug counted, “One car, one truck. Two cars, two trucks. Three cars, four cars. Pass, pass, pass.”
