Just a quick reminder that we are rapidly heading towards the start of the Autumn Women’s Online Bridge Festival! It starts on Monday 10th November.
There will be 6 tournaments each day – two individual, two pairs and two robot duplicate tournaments – a second one of these has been added because of the success of the trial robot tourney in the Spring Festival.
There will be BBO prizes and fun prizes … but the main prize for the overall winner will be free entry to the Women’s Pairs Championship in Tromso, Norway next summer – for her and the partner of her choice. Well worth competing for I am sure you will agree.
Anna Maria Torlontano; Chairman of the WBF Women Committe explains you all about the Festival and personally encourages you to participate:
Dear bridge friends,
Since 2013 the Women’s Online Bridge Festival is being held twice a year, in April and November. The dates for the next festival are November Festival are 10th – 16st November.
For this event the World Bridge Federation has awarded a special prize to the overall winning player –free entry, with a partner of her choice, to the Women’s Pairs Championship in Tromso 2015
Remember that you are not playing a world championship. Our aim is to let you enjoy bridge with friends from all over the world and to play in a friendly atmosphere, so playing is more important than to win. After all, each tournament can only have one winner, but everyone who plays can enjoy the challenge, the camaraderie, the fun of participation!
